Hawkins, Bingham & Miller, P.C. specializes
in accident and injury law and represents the legal rights of people
who have suffered an accidental injury and families who have lost
a loved one as a result of an accident or medical malpractice. The
firm is able to draw on years of experience serving clients nationwide
with a special concentration in Eastern Tennessee, and handles a
variety of accident and injury cases including wrongful death, tractor-trailer
accidents, automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and catastrophic
injury cases.
The law firm was founded in
1957 by William W. Hawkins, who until his death in 1997, was an
active member of the firm. Mr. Hawkins, an innovator in the area
of accident and injury law, successfully obtained one of the first
million-dollar personal injury settlements in Eastern Tennessee,
and was one of the first lawyers in Tennessee to be certified as
a Civil Trial Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing
Legal Education and Specialization. Today the firm continues the
tradition of excellence and maintains a reputation as a preeminent
law firm in Eastern Tennessee in the area of accident and injury
law. For several years Hawkins, Moody, Bingham & Miller has
received the highest rating (AV) in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory,
the leading legal directory in the United States. The firm is also
listed in Martindale-Hubbell's bar register of preeminent lawyers
in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice.
In addition to the fine tradition
of expertise in the law, the members of Hawkins, Bingham
& Miller also maintain active roles in the development of the
community, supporting such organizations as Second Harvest, Crumley
House, the Wishing Well Foundation and the Tomorrow Tee Project,
as well as the Fraternal Order of Police and the Kingsport Life
Saving Crew.
